Vera is an old Spanish town founded in the 6th century, it has a beach resort of Vera Playa, where the Valle del Este Beach Club is located. The house is close to the beach resort of Mojacar Playa and old town of Mojacar set in a stunning mountain landscape. Between the beach resorts of Mojacar and Vera is the Spanish fishing port of Garrucha, which features a tree lined promenade and beautiful sandy beaches and yacht marina. The fishing boats depart every morning and return at sunset, the local fishing fleet supplies all types of seafood to the local markets and restaurants. Vera is 2.5 hours from Granada which is home ot the Alhambra Palace, considered by some to be one of the 10 wonders of the world. The Alhambra is a castle constructed over many centuries. Granada is a ski resort in the winter in the Sierra Nevada mountains and sunny resort in the summer. The mountains in the region have also been backdrops to films such as Indiana Jones, there is a Hollywood film set to visit. Golf. Golf Valle del Este is a stunning 18 hole golf course. 6269 yards par 71. Each hole presents a different challenge that requires much thought before executing the shot. The views are stunning. The par four, 15th is one of the longest holes you will encounter if the wind is against you and the finishing hole is a beautiful par 4 with water cascading to your left flowing from a lake that protects the green on three sides. This modern first floor, two bedroom apartment, is located on a lovely complex, with a communal swimming pool and fully furnished to a high standard. There are many small typical Spanish villages & towns within easy reach.Just a few minutes walk away is the eight km long, blue flag, wide sandy beach, which is never overcrowded. There are Chinese and pizza restaurants and a wide choice of small Spanish cafe bars.There is a fish market most evenings at the harbour from about 5pm. Here you can see the fish landed and being auctioned for the restaurants. In the town itself there are plenty of banks with cash machines. Many shops and large supermarket. Mojacar Playa. Further on from Garrucha, you will find Mojacar Playa. This is a large area comprising of lots of bars and restaurants and stretches the whole length of the beach. Here you will find everything you could possible need from Chinese and Indian restaurants, to Italian and Mexican restaurants. There is a large enclosed shopping centre situated on the main roundabout at Mojacar with a large supermarket underneath, as well as a variety of shops and more cafes on the other two levels.Above the beach you will find the beautiful area of Mojacar Pueblo. This is a very old and quaint town with cobbled streets and a weekly market. There are further restaurants, bars and shops hidden in these streets and the views are spectacular. This is an area to be highly recommended.Villaricos. A drive in the opposite direction brings you to the small fishing village of Villaricos. There is a small sandy beach two harbours and diving is available. There are reasonably priced restaurants and bars here ranging from Spanish cuisine to British pub food. Like many of the other areas, there is a Sunday market here and a beautiful church.
